Swaged Port and Reinforcing Ring.

Swaging means punching a hole, then pushing out the tank wall. This makes a stronger connection. All ports are swaged.

Reinforcing Ring is actually on the inside of the tank but its outline can be seen in the photo. It is 3.5" diameter x 1/4" thick. This greatly strengthens the racking valve connection.

The reinforcing ring was introduced to the American market by Letina nearly 20 years ago.

Vent-211 is a better quality design. The vent attaches to a 2" diameter pipe (~4" long). This pipe reduces the problem of wine coming through the vent.
