Swaged Port and Reinforcing Ring.

Swaging means punching a hole, then pushing out the tank wall. This makes a stronger connection. All ports are swaged.

Reinforcing Ring is actually on the inside of the tank but its outline can be seen in the photo. It is 3.5" diameter x 1/4" thick. This greatly strengthens the racking valve connection.

The reinforcing ring was introduced to the American market by Letina nearly 20 years ago.

Vent-211 is a better quality design. The vent attaches to a 2" diameter pipe (~4" long). This pipe reduces the problem of wine coming through the vent.

Superior Cooling Jacket Design

Cooling jackets are oriented vertically on the back of the tank. This allows efficient cooling with any amount of product.

Open top tanks have 2 jackets on the back. One on top half, and one below. If tank is full, use the jackets in series. If the tank is not full, then use the lower jacket only.

This prevents condensation on the inside of the tank, above the lid, which then runs down into the lid. This can result in mold growth.
Sloped-Bottom Tanks—Variable Capacity
  • Flat bottom is sloped from back to front (5%) to make cleanout easier.
  • Complete with 2 Butterfly Valves, Sample Tap, floating lid, inflatable gasket, air pump, vent 211
  • Tanks with Cooling Jackets. 2 on back. Maximum inlet pressure is 35 psi. Typical flow rate is 3-6 GPM.
